Welcome to a little treat of a piece as we go over our recent match against RAF Boulmer in a little friendly. We were contacted by the Boulmer team captain at the start of October asking if we wanted to play a game against them and as we are the Phantoms we couldn't say no. Little did we know that this team had been formed months before and had been playing together regularly where we had picked our team the day before and just hoped for the best.

First map was a bloodbath and not in a good way. We jumped into hardpoint on the map Hydro Electric and we could see from the first two hills just how this series was going to play out. They knew all rotations, spawn points and just generally had the better gun skills which put us to bed pretty quickly. We lost 250-112. The second map was search and destroy on Mercado which after an hour of practice we thought was our best match (We had played it twice and won once).

This map was a lot closer with the round count staying very close together. Just as we thought we were getting our way with them on this map they adjusted there play style to counter us and we lost 6-5. The third game mode was control on El Isilo which we were pessimistic about as with the short made fights in middle and the long range fights on the outside made it a busy day in the office for us.

We tried out best to keep in close, but in the end we lost the map 3-1.This meant that Boulmer had beat us in the friendly, but that was what we expected to happen even before we started playing on the night. Big congratulations to Boulmer on the victory, but don't count the Phantoms out yet. We will be back for revenge.
